Perhaps you think I jest.
Yesterday, I was struck by a white flower lodged about 5 feet up in an evergreen in our yard. I assumed it was a silk flower- it being February and all. But no! It was a real live chrysanthemum flower lying atop a recently deceased pine siskin.
Undoubtedly it was found by a neighborhood child and given a proper send off where it was protected from attack or predation
I thought it was quite touching. RIP little friend
Goodbye, and keep cold.
